What happens if I accidentally cracked the back screen of my loner phone (iPhone 8)?
do I have to pay for the repair of the back screen it’s just cracks no glass has fallen out

You'll need to chat with whoever loaned you the iPhone about that. While we're other users like you and not folks that work for Apple or for whoever else you might have borrowed that iPhone from, I'd expect to be paying for a damaged loaner from whoever offered it. Check the paperwork you likely signed for official details, or check with the lender.
