An iPad is not water resistant - and your warranty, if any, does not apply to water or other accidental damage.

If you have benefit of an active AppleCare+ Plan, optional when you purchased your iPad, then you may be able to make a claim under this insurance policy. If applicable, you will have to pay a small “excess/deductible” charge - and my receive a reconditioned iPad in exchange for your water-damaged device.

If you don’t have an AppleCare+ Plan, if the iPad is damaged, you will have no alternative other than than to consider repair - the cost of which may be uneconomic. An out-of-warranty repair, if available to you, typically costs c.60% of the “as new” price of the iPad.

Applying direct heat is not recommended. Applying direct heat risks catastrophic battery failure with risk of starting a battery fire.

Whilst you are very unlikely to revive an iPad from water damage, you might attempt to try drying-out the iPad using a suitable desiccant (e.g., silica gel crystals or similar).

Seal the iPad in a plastic bag - along with the desiccant - and leave the iPad in warm (stress warm - not hot) location for many days. If you are lucky, the desiccant my absorb any moisture - however, permanent damage may have occurred. Water and electronics do not mix; electrical current from the battery will cause corrosion and other damage to the electronics.
