CAN I USE A 10W OR A 12W POWER ADAPTER TO CHARGE MY NEW 8th GEN IPAD?

Whilst charging with the supplied 20W USB-C Power Adapter is recommended, you can charge an iPad8 with a 10/12W Power Adapter. You should not, however, that iPad will charge rate will be slower.

If purchasing a new iPad, why not simply use the Power Adapter that is supplied in the box - with the correct cable? Why substitute for an inferior Power Adapter?
