Your networked device is supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint drivers, and no software/drivers from Fuji/Xerox are necessary.

With the device networked, and powered, visit System Preferences > Printers & Scanners panel. Add your device [+], selecting the globe on the toolbar of the Add Printer panel. Enter the static IP address of the printer, and for the Protocol, choose AirPrint. Then click Add.

Dear Viking OSX,

I did what you recommended in your email above and re-added the device(Fuji Xerox Docuprint M225 dw) on my Macbook Pro ). However the scan option is not showing up when I select the printer. refer Macbook Pro Screenshot 👇

I am attaching the screenshots of my older MacBook Air where the Scan options were available. If you examine the screenshot further you will see the 2nd line Kind : Fuji Xerox Docuprint M225dw CUPS mentioned. The other 2 Printer Options have Kind : Fuji Xerox Docuprint M225dw CUPS-Airprint

With my earlier MacBook Air I could then select the Scan function 👇

And then when I select the Open Scanner Option I could just place the Document on the Flatbed scanner & choose the resolution & then scan it👇

I would be extremely grateful if you could let me know if there's anything else I should (could) do to activate the Scan function on my MacBook Pro 🙏

Many Thanks in advance,

Roy

I installed the Fuji Xerox Docuprint M225DW multi function Printer to my new MacBook Pro (with help from Viking OSX) & it works fine. However I am unable to scan documents even after installing the Scanner drivers, Printer drivers and the wireless drivers downloaded from the Fuji website (https://support-fb.fujifilm.com/processDriverForm.do?ctry_code=HK&lang_code=en&d_lang=en&corp_pid=DPM225DW&rts=null&model=DocuPrint+M225+dw&type_id=2&lang_list=en).

Any help for installing the scanning function will be greatly appreciated

You should not install the Fuji Xerox printer/scanner drivers when using AirPrint as it is supposed to provide that functionality without the vendor drivers whose installation may compromise the AirPrint capability. AirPrint should also allow you to detect and scan using Apple's included Image Capture or Preview utilities.

Once you had added the M225DW into the Printers & Scanners panel with Airprint, you would need to Reset the printing system (control-click on the M225DW entry, choose Reset printing system…) and re-add the device by specifying the newly installed Xerox drivers. That is the only way it would know about their presence.

If you continue to have issues with the Fuji Xerox drivers, contact them for further support of their product.

Although it is common to recommend the paid VueScan Professional product where no vendor scanning functionality can be obtained, VueScan does not support any DocuPrint devices.
