How do I turn off proximity sensor during calls. This is by far the worst feature I have ever dealt with. It blacks screen during zoom calls, makes it difficult to enter extensions or merge calls. I get what you are trying to do here apple but it is driving me crazy. VERY VERY counterintuitive

No, you can’t disable it, however, if you are using the speaker or headphones it should be disabled.
It should only black the screen when you hold the phone to your ear so your face doesn’t press buttons. If it does it at any other time either your case is partially blocking it, or your screen protector, or you are putting your hand over it. A much less likely cause is that it’s broken, but that would be very rare.
It’s how I’m holding it, it is extremely sensitive. If I scroll on the screen or my hand passes over the top of the phone. For example “press 2 to go to menu” it makes using the keypad during a call difficult to say the least. And during zoom calls selecting presenter… I have no screen protector or case
I have to put my hand over it to push the button.. or at least near it
