I found a 5th gen ipod touch at the dump. it has an activation lock. i am not interested in seeing someones photos or music. just want to use the device for my own music attached to my car radio using USB. how do i reset this ipod.

Activation lock is a theft-deterrence measure which can only be “released” by the AppleID account-owner who set it.
