It's hard to diagnose the problem, since Apple doesn't make the Google app.


But if an app doesn't respond or unexpectedly quits multiple times, there are a few steps you can try.


  1. Force the app to close, then reopen the app.
  2. Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad, then reopen the app.
  3. Check for app updates: to see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available.
  4. Check for system updates.
  5. Delete the app, then redownload the app. You might lose some data in the app, but if it's the Google app, you should be able to just sign into your Google account after redownloading the app.
