The Google app on my iPhone 8 plus won't open now. It was working fine with the new update for the first few days.

Try a forced restart, if that doesn't work, try uninstalling and reinstalling.
Try a forced restart.
• Press and quickly release the volume up button
• Press and quickly release the volume down button
• Press and hold the side button.
• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
