I created an old Apple ID with my phone number. I just want to delete my Apple ID and make a new one so I can use my same phone number so how do I delete an Apple id

Note that you probably won't be able to re-use the phone number immediately. There is likely to be a delay, though I've seen no documentation on how long. 30 days has been suggested, also 1 year. The latter seems a bit unlikely.
