Did you keep the original packaging? It can be hiding under a cardboard flap. It is very compactly packed.

I would return it and get a new box,
but the cable is an industrial std. my old playstation2 and cd player use the exact same cable
most supermarkets or av store should carry them
It was thrown out by my wife, oops. So, there's no way to check now. Luckily customer support over the phone was very helpful and sent us a new one.
