enable a disabled iPad

my son entered the wrong passcode incorrectly & now the iPad is disabled & says to plug into iTunes. i plug it into my MAC with iTunes signed in & it doesn't recognize the device... it will recognize anything else i plug in. please help!

Disabled iPad Disabled iPad I just purchased this iPad two days ago it rebooted and asked me for my passcode I apparently don’t remember what my password was because it’s now disabled I tried syncing it to my iTunes on my Mac and it never shows up in the binder or in iTunes I tried syncing it with the iTunes on my laptop PC my laptop tells me that the USB device is unreadable. I tried going to iCloud and resetting it that way and iCloud doesn’t recognize that I even on an iPad yet. I’ve tried all of the third-party applications that I found the Internet to reset it and none of them will recognize that my iPad you can plug into the USB port what do I do about this??

Click here and follow the instructions. Restoring the iPad requires plugging it into a computer with iTunes installed, or a Mac running Catalina or newer.

The link I posted above is for eag235's specific case, not a disabled iPad in general.
