Apple tv no response from apple remote tv

Maybe it has lost its pairing somehow.

Point your remote three inches away from your Apple TV. Then press and hold Menu and Volume Up for (up to) 5 seconds. If asked, bring the remote closer, or even place your remote on top of Apple TV to complete pairing. If you still need help, contact Apple Support.

Have you tried to pair it (again)? Have you charged the remote battery?
