iPhone Wifi-Sync isn't working or showing on Finder

iPhone Wifi-Sync isn't working or showing on Finder. I have enabled the option from finder to sync over Wifi and when the iPhone is connected, but i still can't see my device unless I plug it using a cable. I'm on the latest iOS 14 version and the same for my macOS Big Sur.

Any idea how to fix this?

Hello, Mustafallica. Thank you for posting to the Apple Support Communities. We understand your situation and how you have been unable to use the Finder to sync content over Wi-Fi between your devices. We know you must be eager to sync your devices and we’re certainly happy to help you find a solution.

To get started, we’d like to provide you with the following Apple Support article. This article explains how you can set up Wi-Fi syncing between your devices:

Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer - Apple Support

According to the article above, once enabled, your iPhone should start to sync automatically when it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Mac. Your iPhone will also need to be connected to a power source before syncing starts.

You’ll also want to be sure that the Finder preferences have been enabled the way you would like. You can manage these preferences to choose if iOS devices should appear in the Finder Sidebar. The following article explains how you can change the Finder preferences:

Change Finder preferences on Mac - Apple Support

If you are following the suggested steps in the article above, but are missing this feature, we can help you more. To continue, can you tell us if the same problem occurs when your Mac is started in safe mode? Using safe mode can help us isolate out the software that may be preventing Wi-Fi syncing. The following article explains how you can start your Mac in safe mode:

Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support

If the issue doesn't continue while in safe mode, please restart your Mac normally. Starting safe mode may resolve the issue, so please test syncing again after restarting.

We hope that this information helps you to enable this syncing feature with Finder. Please let us know what you find out.

Cheers!
