Notes app tables wiped clean

All tables in my note in the Notes app are all of a sudden wiped clean. Just one empty cell. I have lost months of documentation. Clearly a bug. Is there a way to get my information back *without* installing a former backup on my iPhone?

Hi jvdnieuwendijk,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! We see you're having an issue with the Notes app, and we'd like to do what we can to help.

If you're syncing to iCloud, check for the full note at the iCloud website. Make sure to login with the same Apple ID as on your iPhone. If the full note is there, there may be a space issue with your iPhone. How to check the storage on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

If an entire note was deleted, these articles can help:

If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Delete and recover notes on iCloud.com

If iCloud is set to sync your notes, a backup will not contain synced information: Backup methods for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Take care!

Hey jvdnieuwendijk,

Thanks for the reply, and additional information.

We see that Low Power Mode is enabled on your iPhone. Having this enabled can prevent items from being downloaded to your iPhone. If you plug into power, then turn off Low Power Mode, does your information then start to download to your iPhone? It may take awhile, depending on how much information is in iCloud.

Use Low Power Mode to save battery life on your iPhone

If your data doesn't return, or your data is also not shown on iCloud website, we'd recommend contacting Apple Support for help: Get Support

Cheers!

Hi there, thank you for your reply.

My note was not deleted. All the tables in my notes are wiped clean.

It’s not a sync issue I have a lot of space on both my iPhone and iCloud.

I have collected important medical information for the last two years. And all information is wiped clean all of a sudden. I just see empty cells.

I have read about other Notes users having this problem too. I feel it’s an important bug not properly being addressed by Apple.

See my screenshots below. These tables used to have two columns, multiple rows, and to me very important data. Now it’s just a “file” icon?

Where did my information go? How do I get this back? And how can I ever trust the Notes app again if this just randomly happens?

I hope someone found a solution and can help.
