Where are you wanting to change the date and what happens when you try? Be specific and describe in detail.
Where exactly are you trying to change the date? I can’t imagine why one would need to change the system date for the purpose you describe. I am assuming, perhaps incorrectly, that you would be entering the date into some application. If so it will depend on how that specific application handles those dates.
That would be a question for Quicken. No one knows how they manage dates internally.

What happens when you try to change a date?
It will automatically go back to 21 century 1993 is 2003
You are going to have to provide some additional information. You are changing a date. Where? On your computer? Inside an app? Which app? On a web site? Which web site?
When all my data was transferred to Quicken Essentials all my stock buys were lost going back to 1984.
Then upon migrating to Quicken Premier for Mac I did not have stock purchases from 1984 to 1999.
