Verifying Compatibility:
Updating may just not an option. That would be because your iPhone does not meet the hardware requirements for iOS13 and iOS14. That's just the way it is :(

An iPhone 5s isn't capable of 13 or above. To update it to 12.5.4, use a computer or the Software Update function in Settings.
