sign in to Apple TV Fire Stick app

Is there anyone that had problems using the Apple Sign in with the Apple TV app on the TV Fire Stick? Every time I Try to sign in it lets me put in my Apple ID but after I put in the password, it try's to connect but comes back with an error occurred statement, and to try again in a few moments. After waiting a moment, I try another sign in, the SI id is still on the page, so I put in the PW. I've even changed the PW, thinking it was bad, but no sign in. The current password works with all of my other apple devices.?

It appears that there is a connectivity issue between the app and the remote server.

Secure connections rely on reasonably accurate time settings, so please verify the date and time and timezone in Settings on the device.
