Charger 6s vs 11

Why is the iPhone 11 charger different from the 6s? How many W is the 6s and how many is the 11?

I have a question, can I continue using my iPhone 6s adapter? on the new iPhone 11 2021 (comes with usb c-lighting cable) using an adapter? or is it necessary to buy the new 20w charger for the iPhone 11? will damage my battery?

iPhone 6s, iOS 14

all are safe

as long the connector fits and the device does not output higher than 5volts it can never harm your device in anyway

watt= current*volt

current is something the device being charged draw and the factor in the watt equation is how much current the charger is able to provide, the ios device will only draw what is was build to charge by so a 600watt would be fine too
