Bought a new charger, still wont work. this is a brand new computer so not sure what to do

Did the charger that came with your purchase not work? If another also does not work, you have 14 days from date of purchase to return the computer for a refund. A brand new device should work properly out of the box - if it does not, return it and order another.

Well, if the charger came with the laptop, why haven't you contacted Apple for an in-warranty repair/replacement.
