eSim on iPhone 11 Pro

Hello, I have read in that iPhone 11 Pro with iOS later than 12.01 (mine is 14.6) supports eSim. However, now when I got my eSim and scanned the QR code it says it doesn't support it. I have seen the manual instruction but I don't have the "Add data plan" on my phone. Does anyone knows how to fix this?

That model is a 64GB Gold iPhone 11 Pro meant for Hong Kong. Those models do not support eSim. Only dual physical Sims.

In China mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR feature Dual SIM with two nano-SIM cards. This gives you two phone numbers to make and receive calls and text messages.

eSim support exists in all iPhones starting with iPhone XS.

iPhone 11 supports eSim.

However, depending on the carrier Statius fo the iPhone, it may or may not support sims from all carriers. If the phone is locked to a specific carrier it will only supports physical sim s and sims from the same carrier. You would need to unlock the phone to use SIM cards from multiple carriers.

Assuming that you don’t have a Chinese-market phone (no eSIMs) …

… likely causes are that your phone is “carrier locked” or that it’s on a CDMA network already and you’re trying to add a CDMA carrier eSIM … although there are other possibilities.

See fol article for additional info and don’t hesitate to post-back.

Thank you, everyone! I just don't know what to feel when I have bought this from a carrier provider in Europe when it's meant for HK... But anyways, still thank you so much for helping me figure it out!

That's a question for the carrier you bought it from. If it's not an Apple authorized reseller, it may be getting its stock form other countries rather than Apple directly.
