I am really sorry, but did you read my post? I have an iPhone x, and in the camera there are a few options like video, photo and portrait to name a few. Video and Photo shows a white screen, but when you go to portrait, the camera is working. I have reset my phone, updated to latest firmware, but no change, this has to be software problem, because you can take a photo on portrait, but you can't take video, or take notmal photo.

DeanPrinsloo,

Thank you for the clarification. From what you are describing, it does sound like a software problem. Since the Photo app cannot be reinstalled by it self, we will need to update iOS on the iPhone. We should be able to do this without losing any data on the phone, but to be on the safe side, we will want to get a good, current backup of your iPhone. This article will provide your backup options if you need a reminder:

This article will walk you through updating iOS on your iPhone. When you get to step 4, make sure that you select "Update" to avoid erasing your data.
