You can trade in your iPhone with Apple to be recycled however if you want to receive money off a future device, you will need to fix the screen first.
Please see the following link regarding replacing how much you could get for your iPhone including the Apple tool to get a quote for your device, scroll down to the bottom and click the "UK" flag and then select your own country to get it in your region/currency if you are outside of the UK.
