Third-Party, Maybe?:
Try some third-party device. I've never tried it, but it's worth a go. Get one at your local retailer, and report back if it is of success.
No Pencils or ANY other more sophisticated smart Bluetooth stylus is compatible with an over 10-year old, 2011 iPad 2nd generation.
That iPad was developed and introduced long before the Pencil was ever introduced.
The Bluetooth spec of that iPad is too old and doesn't even support smart Bluetooth stylii or many other newer Bluetooth devices, like some Bluetooth speakers and headphones/earpods!
With that iPad, you are relegated to commonplace, found anywhere, larger rubber tipped capacitive-type stylii.
These can be found anywhere now.
