It appears that if I enter the correct password when prompted to, I get prompt it on my iPhone what is six digit code. Everywhere I looked online it says you need to Enter the six digit code but when I do it doesn’t work. Does anyone know what the scoop is on this?
Apple released a new Apple TV 4K about a month or two ago. They don't announce release dates normally and we cannot speculate on possible new products on these forums. However, please refer to: https://www.apple.com/tv/ and you will find info on the new 2021 ATV 4K.
Oh my gosh that actually worked! I don’t know why I didn’t see this before, it should be documented better. What is really odd is that when I went to settings it showed that I was logged in but when I try to launch Apple TV it kept forcing this password. It must be a separate login which required on this device. Thanks again for helping me out here!!
Oh I know all about the GEN 4. I have three of them but I’ve been using the old ones in some of the insignificant rooms in the house. I just can’t find myself to throw them away quite yet. But I’m getting close.
Your welcome. You may also want to consider replacing the Apple TV 3 with a Apple TV 4K. It is a much better experience and. opens up to thousands more apps than the very limited Apple TV 3.
I also have 4 Apple TVs, one in a guest bedroom is our lone ATV 3, the others are 4Ks'. Mostly it's for the grandkids when they come over.
Yeah I really should just replace them all I guess. I still have three of the old Gen 3,Two of them sitting on a shelf. Do you know when the new one is coming?
