Why is casting music to Google Home from the Apple Music app not an option. I can ask Google Home to play a playlist, but this doesn’t always work correctly. Airplay is the only option in the app, why not casting to other devices? I recently made the switch to Apple Music from another service as a trial, but if this isn’t possible I will certainly be switching back.

That’s not at all what I’m attempting to do. From the Netflix app on my iPhone, I can “cast” to a chromecast connected to my tv. On my spotify app on my iPhone, I can cast my music to a Google Home. Previously, there was an option to “cast” music from the Apple Music app to Google Home. It appears Apple has removed this to force me to purchase Homepods to enjoy the same level of streamless connectivity. However, an easier decision will be to cancel my Apple Music and go back to Spotify.
