Contacts Glich

Whenever I create a new contact I get dumped out of the contact before I've even completed the first and last name. The contact does not get created. This happens over and over. What's up?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 11.4

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

Does it still happen?

Hello. I rebooted in safe mode and attempted to create a new contact. I got as far as first name, last name, and company before I lost the new contact. So, it didn't work. Now what?
