LinkedIn App Illegal Importing of Contacts

Hi,

Not sure if other users experience this. I installed LinkedIn mobile app and I did not give permission the app to import all my contacts (email, phone numbers) etc. I hardly use the app on my phone. Today I logged into the LinkedIn website and saw all my mobile contact info imported into linkedin site !! I did not give permission for this or I was tricked into giving some authorization ! It also looks like they linkedin used the info to send adds to my contacts. Where can one lodge complains regarding this ?

To all iPhone users, pls beware that LinkedApp app behaves like a virus on your phone. I know other software vendors, like Google, does the same thing in obtaining data illegally but did not expect it from LinkedIn.

Hello Flarichi_Original,

From your post, it would appear you are concerned about the way LinkedIn accesses and uses the data on your iPhone.

Be sure to check your privacy settings. These settings control what information apps are allowed to access: About privacy and Location Services in iOS and iPadOS - Apple Support

We would also recommend that you reach out to LinkedIn regarding these concerns. Here is some help in how to contact them: How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

Have a great day.
