Overheating iPhone 12 Pro Max with Apple Silcone Case

My iPhone is constantly overheating, where the screen dims right down to unusable levels. This does generally occur in brighter conditions, but we are talking 22oC, mildly bright sky (but overcast) and I can hardly see the screen. Yes, its acting as a personal hot spot, but we are hardly talking Middle Eastern conditions and surely that kind of operation is well within the limits of the device's capabilities. The problem seems to be resolvable, but only by removing The Apple Silcone Case. That defeats the object of having a genuine Apple case. The two don't seem compatible. It's just not fit for purpose.

It is a phone issue. I have had my phone replaced due to it and the new unit still does it. I reset, redid re everything and nothing works.

If I try and use my phone too “heavy” forget it. Don’t even talk about using it outside in Florida. It gets hot and find the screen where it’s hard to see.

If you are in your return period do it. Go back to the 11 Pro Max or wait on the 13 and hope they improve cooling.

When I was in with Apple the rep basically admitted it. They said “these phones are like computers but don’t have fans so they get hot”.

I am a lifelong Apple user and this is my first real dissatisfied situation.
