Hello Sandor,
Thank you for the report.
>Its AirPrint connected, so no cables at all.
AirPrint in this context does not mean wirelessly connected. In fact, the AirPrint technology can be used via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. The main thing is that it is the same network (subnet).
>Using Samsung's latest driver and firmware
AirPrint also means that you do not have to install drivers from the printer manufacturer. AirPrint is a driverless technology. An AirPrint printer's way of interacting with computers and other devices is determined by its firmware. A computer only needs its own macOS software for AirPrint communication, not extra drivers. An iPhone, similarly, does not require anything but iOS in order to print to an AirPrint-enabled printer.
When one can print from an iPhone (without an extra app), it shows that the printer is using AirPrint.
To begin with, what happens if you remove the aforementioned Samsung driver from the computer, and then reset the printing system, and re-add the M2022W as an AirPrint printer? Albeit from a different manufacturer, a guide at https://www.canon-europe.com/support/consumer_products/apple_airprint_guide/#Pmac shows how to connect a printer using AirPrint.
If the problem with document printing persists after this test, you may want to carry out a comparative test with the printer connected to the computer via USB instead, now using a Samsung driver.
One can never rule out software conflicts in a situation like this. Data may be lost. So, make sure that you have several backup copies of all important files (documents, photos, et cetera).
