Quicken Deluxe & Apple Card

I don't utilize my Apple Card much as there is no integration into Quicken. Any idea if this will ever integrate? I will not download my data onto my phone to email to my desktop as that is way too much work. Any solutions in sight?

Hi, Apple does not announce future products or features. There are some products in beta testing that offer integration with the Apple Card.

Im not a Quicken user, so I have no direct knowledge of their current support. You may want to reach out to the Quicken Support Team to learn about their future products and benefits.

Here is an Apple Support article on Apple Card transactions that may help,

I hope it helps.

The only way I found out is to create a QFX on the iPhone, AirDrop it to the Mac and import the file to Quicken

However, this is NOT ACCEPTABLE!

the QFX can only be exported for a statement, i.e. once a month. I like to keep my Quicken current

it takes about half a dozen steps, and while trying to get there now, I spent over 10 minutes clicking till I recalled how to do it, as it is well hidden. plus five more steps to AirDrop and open/import into Quicken. I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR THIS.

I want automatic downloads directly from Apple/Goldman Sachs, just like all my other cards and bank accounts, on a daily basis so I can track any anomalies.

I will not use the card until I am able to do so.

Your comments are noted and respected.

That said, a compelling argument could be made that that the near-real-time appearance of all transactions; within a highly-secure platform architecture - provides anomaly detection FAR superior to Quicken’s time-delayed, batch-processed methods.

Just my own thoughts … as a continuous HEAVY Quicken user for 29 years.

agree, as far as anomaly detection.

but...

I do everything within Quicken, not just anomaly detection, for example, taxes, budgets, etc. therefore I do need to have all my transactions in Quicken on an ongoing basis, not necessarily real-time

I need it done automagically, without me having to go through a manual a multi-step process, which is prone to procrastination and forgetfulness :-)

Well, I suggest you leave the Apple Card behind. Apple designed the card to be exclusive to the iPhone in terms of transactions, payments, statements. Everything you need to do can be done on the iPhone. Integration with Quicken has been requested since day one and has not arrived yet almost two years later. Im sure there have been numerous submissions to Apple Feedback. So I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Another oft heard complaint is “like very other credit card on the planet”. Again, if the Apple Card doesn’t fit in with your way of doing things then don’t use it.

When you purchase something with the Apple Card the transaction shows up immediately in the Wallet App. Same goes for a payment. Statements can be viewed and printed directly from the iPhone. As for me I have created a manual Apple Card account on Quicken and enter Apple Card transactions as they appear in the Wallet App. It suits my needs.

As with any Apple product not everyone will be satisfied with the feature or functions. It’s your choice. Again, for me, the slight inconvenience of not having Quicken integration is outweighed by the features of the card, the cash back program, the interest free payments on Apple gear purchased, the ease of use on the iPhone.
