Apple ID password
I can’t remember my password and it will let me login online with my passcode but won’t let me change my password. What should I do ?

Passcode or password?
Passcode.
Passcode - If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone or your device is disabled.
If you forgot the Apple ID password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary. Link to contact Apple Support at the end of the 2nd article.
It tells me the passcode can’t be verified? But I use that to unlock my phone each time
