Iphone getting hot while charging.

Iphone 12 pro getting hot while charging with original 20w power adapter. It becomes normal at 80%. Is it normal?

Yes, it’s normal. Nothing that generates or consumes energy does so with no loss, and that losted energy appears as heat (The 2nd law of thermodynamics). The more energy that is involved the greater the loss. Fast charging stops at 80%, and the charge rate is reduced on a sliding rate that ends when the phone reaches 100%, where charging stops completely.
