I just want a virtual one. Can it be ok?

Can the card be used in Hong Kong?

Yes, the iPad gives you limited access to the account number. This will enable some online purchases where you enter a number. The iPad can perform online sales at sites/merchants that accept Apple Pay. You can purchase items on Apple.com and in an Apple Retail Store.

You're welcome! The approval can take just a few minutes (less most times) to several days, if some of the information can’t be verified. Also, today is a US Bank Holiday and all banks are closed. This could add a day or two to approvals.

Here is an Apple Support article on applying and how applications are evaluated,

Hi, the card can be both. The physical card must be ordered by the account owner. It is not automatically sent to the account owner. The virtual card is activated on your iPhone almost immediately after the account is approved.

The physical card can be used at any merchant that accepts MasterCard. The virtual card requires Apple Pay or NFC at the merchant. I hope this helps.
