Fitness tracker

When is Apple going to produce a fitness tracker?

I don’t want to walk around with a $600+ watch on my arm. I like the watch and functions but unless I’m going to a secure place (home, church) I don’t want to wear it and expose myself to risk.

Hence, the question of a fitness tracker that is an Apple product.

The Watch SE starts at $279 which is not much more than the FitBit Versa and far less than many watches. You expose yourself to risk by getting out of bed in the morning. I haven't seen much indication that wearing an Apple Watch increases it by much. And, if fact, it may decrease certain risks. If you have a Watch with cellular (yes, those cost more), you can call 911 with just a press of a button. If you fall and are unable to reach a phone, the watch can contact emergency services.
