M1 MBA and 49" monitor compatibility

I need recommendations for a 49" ultrawide monitor that's compatible with my 2020 MacBook Air M1. I'm reading online that there may be resolution issues and that it won't run on a 5120x1440 resolution. So my question is, would a 3840x1080 still allow me to use the entirety of the screen with enough clarity? I'm such a novice at this and it's really frustrating with the limitations of M1 in this regard. Thank you!

While there may be options via Adapter, the path you seek may

not be available; given technical 'feature limits' with hardware.

Maybe use the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter..?

(from support document covers the matter)
