Hello, ameeth.

I don't believe Mac OS X Snow Leopard is provided by Apple any longer.

If you have a Mac that needs it, you will have to reinstall the os from the original set of grey install dvd discs that shipped with the Mac. These discs were specific to each particular Mac model. You couldn't use the discs from a mini on an iMac. And they are becoming harder to find these days.

Optionally and probably easier will be to locate a used full-retail Snow Leopard dvd on the second hand market -ebay, for example.

Macs between January 7, 2006 and March 14, 2010 support the retail release of Snow Leopard, which is easier to find than the system specific release of Snow Leopard. For most of the Macs that need the system specific release of Snow Leopard from March 15, 2010 to July 21, 2011 a firmware update https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-250003506 on this tip offered internet restore to be able to run 10.7 or later without those discs. For others you will at the mercy of finding another Mac running 10.6.8 to clone from over Target Disk Mode. Keep in mind, once cloned, you can only keep a copy on the clone, and not the original unless it is exclusively for backup use.
