Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! We can definitely understand wanting to know what the different status lights mean. If you are seeing an amber light, that usually mean that there is less than one full charge remaining for your AirPods charging case. You'll want to make sure to connect your charging case to a charger or charge it wirelessly using a Qi-Certfied charging mat.
