Why can’t I customise and add the 'Clock Face' app widget to my home screen? When I search for the tile to add all that comes up is the standard Apple clock app. Plus; the '+' to add tiles is in the top right corner, not the left as it says in the tutorial. ??

Did you follow the steps here, Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch - Apple Support Since I do not use or have that app, it is hard to say. Does the app show up in the list of apps you can add as a Widget using the instructions in the support document that I linked?
I did exactly as laid out in the linked document. No widget showed up in the list. I presume that this app does not have a customisable widget.
That would be my assumption as well.
What Clock Face widget are you referring to, and in which tutorial. Need that to be able to understand what you are looking at.
The app I am referring to is called 'Clock Face' developed by Huamei Xi. The tutorial I am referring to is the one I was linked to from the settings menu in the app. support.apple.com
