None of the suggestions above apply to the Apple News App. How can one remove it from a macbook pro?

The News app is built into the macOS. It cannot be removed from your computer.

It can be removed from the dock so you never see the icon and it doesn't take up dock space. Just click the icon and drag it up off the dock until the word "Remove" appears, then just release it. Poof! gone.


Why do you want to remove it from your Mac? Are you experiencing some sort of problem with it?
