Since iPhone X, there is a battery status indicator at the top right hand corner of iPhone screen. It is graphic with a decreasing green bar as battery charge decreases. If you are asking about hot to display the percentage remaining, you swipe down from the top right hand corner of your iPhone screen to open Control Center where the exact percentage remaining can be seen.
