Of my own financial institutions, the LAST one to support ApplePay was a smallish credit union.
I’m sure there are integration costs involved and compliance hoops to jump-thru …

Thanks Chattanoogan. My institution is a credit union. I called them and they said there have been quite a few inquiries so hopefully the demand will build. I had wondered how technically it might work and how difficult it was to do it, supposing a quick call to Tim Cook prolly wouldn't work.
If an institution is a credit-card issuer, they SHOULD already know how.
What they might need is “demand” from their customers.
