i was using my MacBook at a hotel and turned it off to go to the beach and I used it about 5 days later and the screen is black and when I plug it in it makes the charging noice any advice

This happened to me before, here's how I fixed it.
Hold down the Shift+Control+Option+Power buttons for a few seconds, all
at once. Release them all at the same time and power the Mac back on to
see if the black display is fixed.
OR
try pressing the power button once then press the S key. This is the shortcut key to put the Mac to sleep.
Next, hold down the power key until the Mac turns itself off. Wait 15 seconds and power it back on.
