Zoom cuts out on ipad 8 if i rotate ipad. This evening it wouldn’t com on. Works ok on older ipads or new iphone 12. The audio icon is crossed out. One link replies in red “audio disconnected “. Nothing shows any other app using audio. All other apps that use sound work fine. Zoom won’t talk to me because I’m not a paying customer. Just a participant to a zoom host.

Through trial & error, I have discovered the audio cut off only happens when using the newer release of the ipad zoom app. It could be due to an iPad update or the zoom app or a misconfiguration on either. But the audio works fine when activating Zoom via a browser. Just launch zoom.com, don’t choose to link to the app, and enter the zoom id and passcode. Perhaps one should delete the app but I haven’t tested this yet.
Since Zoom will not talk to me since I’m not a paying host, this is my solution of choice. Or use an older ipad that can’t be updated to latest versions of ios.

Also works on ipad mini 4. Several suggestions indicate settings that are no longer available on this release of ios. As a mater of fact, this wasn’t a problem on prior release of ios on this ipad.
