Apple Watch sports band
Apple, I’m begging you to please change the design of the sports band for Apple Watch. I’ve seen way too many reviews about it falling off. It cost me the entire watch today. It needs to be more secure than just a metal button pushing into the holes on the band. I bought my watch just a few weeks ago after saving a while to be able to purchase it. I’ve loved the watch so much, but I’ve noticed it keeps falling off my wrist. I work in a very physically active environment and it keeps falling off and fell into the garbage once. Another time I didn’t notice it fell on the ground. So I did order a new band, and have worn the watch less and been very careful. Today I was standing at my balcony and the clasp came undone and I watched my watch fall 17 stories. It was devastating. A $500 watch and the band doesn’t even stay on? I love the concept of the sports band but it needs to close like a normal watch band so that it secures, not just a flimsy button that pops in. I love that it’s all waterproof and comfortable yo wear, but it was falling off at least 4-5 times a day. Your products are great and I’m a long time apple user but this is extremely disappointing. A few reps were telling me how much I’d likely have to pay to replace it and it was so disappointing because it was clearly a design flaw on your part. Thanks to a wonderful senior customer service rep named April, who was kind and understanding, I was able to get this covered and I am extremely grateful for this, we all need people to be understanding and have empathy sometimes. Especially when it’s apple’s bad design in this case. Again, my faith is restored a bit knowing that I got put in the right hands and got this amazing customer service rep, but please please please, I am begging you to fix the design of the sports band, people pay way too much for your products for them to just fall right off and risk being lost or broken due to no fault of their own. I was very upset and devastated today at the fact that my brand new watch got completely smashed because of such a silly design flaw.
