My iPad has music purchase from a different iTunes account.

I seem to have two apple ids that I’ve purchased iTunes songs under. One has almost all my current music, but my iPad seems to have music from the other account. How do I get my iPhone and iPad music to be the same? I understand that I can’t simply merge the two accounts.

Merging two Apple ID accounts in iTunes I have had an iTunes account for years. When I needed a new laptop (PC) a year ago, and set up iTunes, I must not have been paying close attention but it defaulted me to using the. Apple ID i started AFTER I started using an iPhone (different than the ID I had been using for some time with iTunes). When I realized that I had lost my playlists, etc. I converted back to using my original ID on the iTunes app. Now in the Account info I see both listed (grayed out) and I suspect that there is music I purchased on the Apple account that I cannot see. One iphone, music purchased with two differnet itunes accounts I have an iphone 15 and it has music on it that was purchased with two different itunes accounts. About half of the music is from my primary account and the other half is from an older account that I still have access to and still use once in a while. I remember in the past being able to sign into the music with one account, then signing out and signing back in with the other account and the phone would ask me if I wanted to keep the music on the phone. Then, by virtue of having signed into the phone with both accounts, all of my music was available. Over time, I have forgotten exactly how i did this so I was hoping someone here could help. So, in short, I have music on my phone from two different accounts. The music purchased under the current account is there, but the music from the second account is grayed out. Can someone remind me how I log in (is it just in itunes, just in music) and get access to this second cache of music from the other account? Thank you.

You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
