hey ! I was working on animating a psd layered file, then after I opened the project again the icon of layers file was gone and I can't access the layers, it's like the video was compounded. so I had to Start the project again and before I finish my battery died so after I plugged it and opened the projet the same thing happened again why???
FOUND IT ! after I read your message I double clicked on the video on the timeline then " detach audio" , and after that the layer icon reappeared again ! thank you <3
What icon does the file have in the browser? Can you post screenshots of what you're seeing in the browser and the timeline?
It’s not a PSD multilayer file any longer. The way you’re supposed to edit, OS to add the PSD to a project timeline and add the audio to the project so the PSD is a separate container.
Something is odd. There is AUDIO on this file.
Are you sure this is a psd file?
there's no icon on them, which is weird because when I first imported the file the layers icon was there and I was able to make edits and animate the file, but as soon as fcp closes and open again the icon disappear and can't open the file anymore. the effect are still there but can't access the layers so I have to start the project all over again
That’s what I was doing no ? I opened a new project, imported the psd file and I animated it the only thing I know now is that I can’t put the audio file Into the psd file but outside of it otherwise it won’t be a psd anymore
Did you open the PSD file into the timeline and add audio into it?
the thing is I opened the psd file, made some animations on the layers " transform, rotate etc" and added the audio file
Bad move.
You should have added the file to a project to edit, and add the audio.
Don't work like this. Use the application as it was designed to be used. Make a project and edit your clips into it.
