I forgot my password to unlock my IPhone XR and now it says iPhone disabled

how do I get in my phone now.. Screen says IPhone disabled connect to iTunes. But I don’t havev access to get verification code it sends it to prove it’s me because I can’t unlock it

Are you following this: If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
