I phone buttons not working

Assuming you are referring to the on-screen keyboard, try forcing a restart using the mechanical buttons > Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

If that buttons-only restart fails, use the Get Support link in the upper right and discuss your options and alternatives directly with Apple, as it could be that your display or digitizer is failing.

If you’re referring to the mechanical buttons on the side not registering, use the Get Support link.

It may be time to make an appointment at the nearest Apple Store for an evaluation and explanation of your options.
