Why does Airdrop on my iPhone identify my iMac with a number in brackets?
I don't know what this means, and I'm concerned about it. Anyone?

Try renaming it and see what comes up on the iPhone. You may have to reboot first.

Go to the System/Sharing preference pane and see what is listed for the name of your computer?
You can change the name if it has the 222 in that field.
Wild it says James's iMac (404) there...
