Different people able to unlock iPhone 12 using Face ID

I have a friend who has setup Face ID on his iPhone 12 and is the only person enrolled for Face ID on this device yet his 16 year old son can also unlock his iPhone using Face ID. Should he report this directly to Apple support as a security concern? Also does he need to reset Face ID to correct this issue?

The statistical probability is different for twins and siblings that look like you and among children under the age of 13, because their distinct facial features may not have fully developed. If you're concerned about this, we recommend using a passcode to authenticate.

It advises what to do if they are concerned about the child opening the phone.
